Asbury Theological Seminary – Main Campus

Founded in 1923, Asbury Theological Seminary is one of the largest evangelical, multidenominational graduate institution that offers a variety of master degree and postgraduate degree programs through the schools of Biblical Interpretation and Proclamation, Theology and Formation, Practical Theology, World Mission and Evangelism and Postgraduate Studies. Asbury Theological Seminary is not affiliated with any one denomination but stands firmly in the Wesleyan tradition. The seminary graduates more United Methodist pastors than any other divinity school, a testimony to the appeal of its conservative doctrinal positions. Today, Asbury Theological Seminary enrolls a total of nearly 1,600 students, representing nearly 100 denominations and 29 countries. Committed to vital evangelical Christian Faith, Asbury Theological Seminary is rooted in the Wesleyan-Arminian theological doctrine.

Dr. Timothy C. Tennett is the current president of Asbury Theological Seminary who has served since July 2009.

  1. I chose to attend Asbury for my M.Div. I wanted a firm foundation in orthodox, evangelical Christian belief and faith and yet found I was well-exposed and challenged to know the what and why and to yearn continually to be seeking after Truth.

  2. I am working on an M.Div. and have found Asbury to be academically challenging and spiritually formative. There’s a strong emphasis on world Christianity.
