Description

Founded in 1952, Talbot School of Theology is an interdenominational seminary located in Southern California near Los Angeles. It is one of the seven schools that comprises Biola University. Talbot couples solid evangelical scholarship with intentional character development to prepare students for a lifetime of relevant, effective ministry. It is the purpose of Talbot to develop in the lives of its students a spiritual life which is in harmony with the great doctrines taught, in order that they may grow in the grace as well as in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Specifically, the goal is to educate and graduate students characterized by practical Christian service, missionary and evangelistic zeal and an adequate knowledge of the Scriptures.

Talbot currently offers degree programs in Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, Master of Theology, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Ministry. Moreover, Talbot is known for its conservative evangelical theology, especially related to the doctrine of Biblical inerrancy and premillennial dispensationalism.

Dr. Clinton E. Arnold serves as the current Dean of Talbot School of Theology. He is also the Professor of New Testament Language and Literature.
